The Canadian Retail Shippers' Association is a cooperative venture of Canadian retailers in response to the unique characteristics of the Canadian retail market. From a retailers' perspective, Canada is a very large relatively sparsely populated country with a sophisticated customer base that demands broad product selection and razor sharp pricing. While the CRSA is a collaboration of retail competitors, its mandate is clearly positive for the Canadian consumer. Expanding market access, lower logistics costs and better information management translate into broader product sourcing opportunities and lower landed costs. These elements are reflected in better selection and lower in-store prices.
The CRSA has been adding value to the Canadian retail environment since the early 1950's. Throughout the years it has continually proven to be dynamic, proactive and effective in achieving its mandate in the light speed world in which we live.
