Services - Deconsolidation

CRSA Logistics utilizes two major gateways of entry into Canada, Halifax and Vancouver. All procurements made in the Indian subcontinent and from some specific S.E. Asia ports are focused on the Halifax gateway and all remaining points East are focused on the Vancouver gateway. At these two Canadian gateway points the containers are deconsolidated and shipments are reconsolidated into inland units, be it truck or rail intermodal, destined for the individual distribution centers of the participants. The Canadian inland transportation activity is also managed by CRSA Logistics to the standards and service requirements established by the individual participants.

The deconsolidation and reconsolidation activity that takes place in Vancouver (Port Coquitlam) is operated by Ryder Container Terminals (RCT), a related company to CRSA Logistics. The terminal in Halifax (Dartmouth) is operated by Armour Logistics. CRSA Logistics provides instructions and oversight to both RCT and Armour as well as maintaining an office in the Port Coquitlam facility. For more information on the facilities and services provided by RCT please view their website at http://www.ryderct.com.
